Update!

So, it's been a while. Had to wait for a few things to arrive - spray paint, for starters, but also some 60mm laser cut wooden bases from eBay. As my squads are split into two teams of four, these make for great squad bases:

I've also switched to black spray paint from white, which I think makes them look much better (white sprayed model on the left above)

Next: the rest of the squads!
